With its high mountains, ancient plateaus, and low-lying plains, France is not only the largest country in Europe, it is the heart of western culture. Famous playwrights, painters, philosophers, writers, composers, film directors and sculptors are only some of the French cultural figures who have contributed their talents to history. Perhaps most notable of all is the French cuisine, which has come to dominate the tables of the world.
Host families in France volunteer to host American exchange students because they are interested in learning about our culture and language. Since Terra Lingua USA has coordinators throughout the country, students may be placed in any part of France. Participants will improve their language skills and experience a rich, traditional culture, while enjoying the daily life of a French family. Participants may choose to spend 4 weeks with a host family.
Note: Students wishing to travel on dates other than our scheduled group flights should refer to our "Independent Homestay in France" program listed below. Note: Program not available at this time. Please check with us at a later date for 2009.
